using
the
viewer

Carefully observe the picture on the opposite page. The slides are inserted into the slide slot (1), see diagram, page 2, right side up with picture title facing the viewer. Be sure to push the slide down firmly into the slot.

With the viewer held level and close to the eyes, push the switch button (2). Wearers of glasses should preferably leave them on. Turn the focusing knob (3) until the picture is sharp, then move the interocular (eye separation) knob (4) back and forth slowly until the best position is found.

Properly seen, the two pictures on the slide merge into one picture having full stereoscopic relief or the "Third Dimension."

Users of stereoscopic cameras are able to exercise an unusual amount of freedom as to the direction the camera is pointed. Instead of always being held level, the camera is often aimed upward or downward. By holding the viewer at this same angle, the realism of such pictures is much greater.

110 VOLT LAMP ATTACHMENT

Remove battery lamp cartridge (5) by turning thumb screw (7) and insert 110 volt lamp cartridge (9) with key (11) up to match opening in case. Tighten thumb screw (7) to hold cartridge in place. The 8 foot electrical cord may be plugged into any AC or DC 110 volt outlet. Button switch (2) also operates 110 volt cartridge while control knob (10) increases or decreases lamp brightness to suit individual pictures. Index markings on the control knob (10) permit resetting the lamp brightness exactly right for each particular picture.
